“The moment I see a drawing come to life is what art is all about for me! It is in that moment I feel a bond with each and every unique subject, whether human, animal or even ordinary subject. There is nothing I love more than the magical time when I feel my new “friend” has arrived. Maybe it is when I draw a sparkle in an eye, or simply a first outline, that a personality forms.  I believe capturing overlooked tiny details deepen and humanize each character, which in turn draws the viewer into the picture. It is then that you, the viewer, continue the story of your new friends in the artwork. 

I use watercolors and/or colored pencils to capture precise elements through my work.”
